Instructions: How to Approve Data in DHIS2

Please follow these instructions when your MA’s Service Statistics data have been entered and reviewed in DHIS2 and are ready for review by the Regional Office. Please remember that this process will have to be repeated for each of the 10 Service Statistics-related data sets.

- The person at the MA who has been assigned the responsibility of reviewing and approving the data should log into the system. Using the Apps menu, navigate to “Data Approval and Acceptance."

- Select one data set at a time, remembering that each data set must be approved individually:

- Make sure that your entity (MA) is selected in orange as the “Report Organization Unit” (LOBI in this example) and select the appropriate year of data (in this case, 2015).

- Click on the “Get data” button to see the data that has been entered in the selected data set.
- After reviewing your data one more time, click on the “Approve” button at the top of the page.

- Repeat for the remaining data sets.

Congratulations! Your MA has submitted your 2015 Service Statistics data to IPPF using our new DHIS2 system. We will be in touch with you to share any questions or comments we have about your data and to schedule our data cleaning call.
