Travel Safety Checklist
As you are aware, the Travel Safety Checklist requires you to check a country’s RiskMonitor risk rating prior to completing the trip booking. To do this, refer to the ‘Overall Risk’ rating in the ‘Travel Advice’ section of the website. E.g. Afghanistan is ‘Extreme – 5’.

Countries with RiskMonitor risk ratings of 4 or 5 are High or Extreme risk. In these cases, PRISM requires travellers and their Managers to complete a High-Risk Trip Clearance Form in addition to the Travel Safety Checklist to finalise the trip booking.
You can also access helpful Country Travel Advice Reports on the RiskMonitor website by clicking on ‘Download Country PDF’ (highlighted in yellow below).

Drum Cussac - TravelProtect service
TravelProtect automatically emails you, as the traveller, with safety and security information using the trip itinerary data entered into PRISM. The TravelProtect system is very easy to use when travelling. Once a trip booking is completed in PRISM, the itinerary data is sent to Drum Cussac via an automatic data feed. Provided you have Internet access when travelling, you will receive TravelProtect’s email notifications.
Pre-Travel Advisory emails are sent two-three days prior to departure and set out risk ratings for the trip location. A sample email is set out below.

Confirm Arrival Notification emails are sent at your scheduled flight arrival time, and allow you to confirm your safe arrival with IPPF and Drum Cussac simultaneously. A sample email is set out below.

Drum Cussac app and SOS function

The Drum Cussac app can assist you in keeping track of safety alerts while out of the office. You can login using the username and password included in the ‘Welcome’ email you received from Drum Cussac after your first PRISM trip booking.
The app is available for iOS and Android.

The app also has an SOS function that, if activated, immediately notifies Drum Cussac’s headquarters. The Drum Cussac support team will immediately investigate an SOS alert by notifying key IPPF contacts and/or contacting people in the field to assist. To activate the SOS, you must have the apps’ location services enabled, and your phone must be connected to the Internet.

When travelling, you have access to a global emergency assistance service 24/7 regarding any security (Drum Cussac), medical (Healix) or insurance (RSA) matter via:
