Adding External Users to Teams Channel
Teams Channel with External user
Open MS-Teams à Create New Team
Give your Teams a significant name and for your channel. You can create multiple channels in one Team. And also there are different members in each channel.
When you click on “Create”, it will ask to add members in your Channel.
For external user, it shows prompt to add them as “Guest”. Add external as Guest.
You can also add IPPF users also –
Now you Teams Channel is ready, you can Chat, share documents.
Steps to follow by external user to get Teams Channel –
- They will receive an email from Microsoft Teams, (ask user to check in their Junk or SPAM folder)
When user click on “Open Microsoft Teams” it will open a new window –
If user has Microsoft Team installed, they can click on “Open Microsoft Teams” or they can also “Download the windows app” from same link.
Now they will get a prompt to enter the email address –
Click on “Next” and it will ask you to get a Code on your email address –
Enter Code received on email, to login –
Now you are logged in start sharing 😊
